A Sweet Saturday in the Hudson Valley

Coffee in Hand, Nowhere to Be | 3.31.26

I’ve been spending more time in the Hudson Valley over the past couple of years, and I’ve really come to love exploring its smaller towns and quieter corners. It’s become one of my favorite ways to spend a winter or early spring day.

The weather doesn’t have to be perfect to make it worthwhile. All you really need is a good lunch with friends and some time to wander.

Last weekend, I met up with friends at Feast & Floret in Hudson, a two-story brick building that was once a 19th-century carriage house and blacksmith shop. It’s the kind of place where it’s hard to stop taking photos. The interior leans into a mix of rustic Italian charm and botanical romance - dried flowers overhead, warm wood tones, and soft, candlelit corners. It feels tucked away in the best way, like somewhere you come across by accident and end up staying longer than you planned. The food was just as good - simple, comforting, and really well done.

After lunch, we spent the afternoon wandering in and out of shops, letting whatever caught our attention pull us in. Hudson is perfect for that. Every storefront feels distinct - a mix of vintage pieces, handmade goods, and thoughtfully curated finds that each carry a bit of personality.

In Hudson, it’s easy to settle into a slower pace - walking with a coffee in hand, moving in and out of shops, and letting the day unfold without much of a plan. There’s something about it that makes even a simple afternoon feel more considered. A good reminder that you don’t need much to enjoy a day - just a bit of time, a place to wander, and the willingness to notice it.

With Love,

LC
