NYC In a New York Minute

Spring in the City, Just for a Day | 4.30.26

Less than 24 hours in NYC, but somehow it felt like a full, perfect escape.

A quick trip down from Boston in April turned into the kind of day you wish you could bottle up. The weather was just right - warm, bright, and full of that early spring energy. The city felt alive in the best way: busy, but not overwhelming. Just enough movement to remind you why New York has its magic.

We stayed at the Civilian in Hell’s Kitchen, the perfect little home base - right off the highway but tucked away and walkable to everything. Our room was cozy in that charming, very New York way, with soft draped details, warm light, and a window that filled the space with sunshine and skyline views. Small, but thoughtfully designed and a really cool aesthetic.

We spent our time walking around and enjoying the energy of the city - no plans, just following wherever the streets took us. Cherry blossoms were in bloom, people were out soaking up the day, and everything felt light and alive.  It was the perfect spring getaway and I left feeling refreshed and inspired :).

Short trip, full heart!

With Love,

LC
