A Day of Holiday Markets and Winter Magic

Holiday Shopping, Antiquing, & Cozy Moments | 11.30.25

Stop 1: Parking

A few weekends ago, I spent the whole day wandering through markets, digging through vintage finds, and taking in all the cozy New England vibes, thanks to the perfect itinerary my friend put together. We both had to wake up super early to get started, but honestly, it was totally worth it :).

We met up and carpooled a few minutes down the road to the event parking lot, which was already getting surprisingly busy. While we waited for the buses, we checked in and were given the cutest little mushroom ornaments for our Christmas tree.

Stop 2: Fine Day Fair

Our first stop was the Fine Day Fair, which opened at 9am and took place at the Bedford Post Inn - a beautiful, historic property that once operated as a farm (and is now owned by Richard Gere!). The inn made a beautiful backdrop for the event. There’s something magical about browsing booths right as a market opens - everything feels fresh, intentional, and perfectly arranged. We wandered through displays of ceramics, textiles, vintage finds, ornaments, and other handmade goods. A few of my favorite makers were Marcie McGoldrick (elegant, vintage-inspired porcelain vessels and jewelry), Skippy Cotton (quirky, whimsical ornaments), and Wonky Ware (unique, fun hand-built ceramic pieces). It was the perfect place to start gathering holiday gifts for family and friends.

Stop 3: A Bedford Brunch Moment

After the fair, we headed back into Bedford for a late breakfast/early lunch. There are so many charming little spots tucked around town. We ended up at Mast Market & Café, where we had the best avocado toast. I was so excited to dive in that I cut into it before remembering to take a photo :). We sat at a little table in the window and it felt like the perfect slow pause before our second round of treasure hunting.

Stop 4: The Ticking Tent Market

Our timed entry for the Ticking Tent Market was at noon, giving us just enough time to digest and dive back in. The market was a beautiful mix of homewares, antiques, florals, textiles, and tiny treasures. Some of my fav shops were Forbes Hill Textiles (beautiful hand-made block printed textiles), Jorja (cute, trendy totes/bags made in Italy), and The Green Vase (gorgeous paper flower arrangements).

And the best moment? Just as we were heading out, the one and only Martha Stewart walked in. We honestly couldn’t have scripted it better. Our souls did leave our bodies for a second :).

Stop 5: Fairfield Antiques & Design Center

After we recovered from the sheer greatness of seeing Martha, we hopped in the car and headed to Norwalk to explore the Fairfield Antiques & Design Center - aka, vintage heaven. It’s the kind of place where you can lose track of time digging through antique pieces, quirky art, and one-of-a-kind finds you definitely didn’t know you needed.

Stop 6: Terrain, Westport

Our last stop of the day was Terrain in Westport, which feels like a lifestyle Pinterest board brought to life. We wandered through the store, taking in all the greenery and home décor inspiration, before settling in for an early dinner at Terrain Café. It’s the perfect spot for a relaxed outing with someone you love spending time with - whether a friend, a parent, a sibling, or anyone who appreciates beautiful things.

After a long, full day of markets, good food, pretty things, and even better company, we headed home tired in the best way. Til the next grand day out!

With Love,

LC
